Aftercare

Aftercare is a service that is offered from Preschool to up to Grade 9 and they are attended to and monitored until they are collected for home.

Aftercare Time: 

From 14:00Hrs to 16:00Hrs

1. Lunch is provided

2. Conducive afterschool environment for homework to be completed under teacher supervision.

3. Available during school days and closed during school holidays

4. Homework assistance and reading will be done from Grade 1-6.

5. Extra lessons are offered for Mathematics and Afrikaans  from Senior and FET

What the school is expected provisions:

1. Create and maintain a homelike and conducive environment, with a relaxing effect yet productive

2. Initiate and respond to clear dialogue with parents, concerning their children's progress

3. Maintain proper conduct and approach enforced by proper morals and ethics

4. Be available and hands on to learners' needs, including their emotional dynamics

5. Offer mind sharpening programs and decision-making challenging tasks

6. Motivate and nurture a sense of belonging and creating responsible individuals who will account for their future

7. Have an open mind to behavioral changes and offer strategic ways to deal with abuse, segregation and bullying

8. Offer full support and assistance in Languages to enhance Reading & Writing proficiency and with  homework to ease pressure from parents at home

What parents are expected provisions:

1. Always communicate registration of their children in aftercare on time

2. Pay or settle aftercare fees on time to avoid disruptions

3. Arrange reliable transport, if parent is not collecting the child

4. Always stick to collection time which is not later than 4:15pm

5. Provide an alternative/emergency number if having busy schedules and make clear arrangements if the child is to be collected later than closing time

6. Communicate with the school if the child does not arrive home on time

7. Improvements do come from the children's feedback. Therefore, communicate with your recommendations

8. To avoid misplacement or exchange of possessions e.g. jerseys, please mark or put clear tags on all personal belongings

9. We don't encourage learners to come to school when they are sick. However, in special circumstances you should notify us what to expect or how to manage specific situations
