Buckridge Private School Shines in Nelspruit
On 6 August 2026, the primary school netball teams of Buckridge Private School travelled to Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, where they faced Curro Mbombela in an exciting day of competitive netball. Our young netball stars took to the court across four age groups, demonstrating determination, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the matches. Each team showed great commitment and proudly represented Buckridge Private School.
The U10 team delivered an impressive performance, securing a convincing 7–3 victory over Curro Mbombela. Their excellent teamwork and determination helped them control the match and earn a well-deserved win.
The U11 team faced a challenging encounter and went down 1–4. Despite the result, the players continued to show resilience and gave their best effort throughout the game.
The U12 team also put up a strong fight in a competitive match, eventually losing 4–7. The players demonstrated great determination and continued to work together until the final whistle.
The U13 team produced one of the highlights of the day with a thrilling 9–8 victory over Curro Mbombela. In a closely contested match, the team showed composure, teamwork and fighting spirit to secure a fantastic win.
A special congratulations goes to our U10 and U13 teams on their well-deserved victories!
Overall, Buckridge Private School recorded two wins and two losses in the netball matches. We are incredibly proud of all our players for the way they represented the school with commitment, courage and respect. Every match was an opportunity to learn, grow and strengthen the spirit of teamwork.
Regardless of the results, our netball stars showed that true success is not only measured by the scoreboard, but also by the determination, discipline and sportsmanship displayed on the court.
